Vr handbrake alarm sensor

This is my first post in this forum. The handbrake alarm (when u try to drive with the handbrake on) doesn't seem to be working.

Wondering if u guys have any info on this

Is your VR a Series I or II ? Handbrake warning chime was introduced on the Series II VR's (October 94)

I suppose it is series 2 VR, It was built december '94. The handbrake warning chime worked up and til recently. Any info on this would be great!!

mine also has stopped working but the trip comp thinks i have the handbrake on all the time so i get beep beep beep beeep all day long lol and my light on the dash isnt on unless the handbrake is on

why didnt the s1 vr's have handbrake chime my vn has it??

ok... but.... my question is still up for answering. Where does this handbrake chime sensor reside exactly in the car?
