VS Aircon NEED HELP Urgently
Here's hoping you guys can help me out.
Specs: 1993 VS Ute 5.0 L Factory Air
I have had an A/C tech/Auto Elec check the A/C system. He says I was low on gas, (comp dropped in, but lack of cool air) also discovered thermo fan in front of condensor stuffed, so replaced it.
Now he is saying that the internal pressures are too high at low speed, ie, around town driving. I am not sure what the exact pressures are. He suggests that insuficient air flow is the problem and that I should replace the hydraulic link clutch on the radiator fan. However, it seems to test to spec in that it does not free wheel when spun -- lucky to make 1/4 of a turn before stopping. It's not siezed either.
Radiator and condensor have been thoroughly washed with pressure hose and appear clear of debris or bugs.
Cabin temp seems okay and A/C is bloody cold when using recycled mode.
Any suggestions on this one?
Second Q: Where the hell is the evaporator drain tube outlet located? I've been underneath the vehicle and simply cannot locate it. HELP ! ! !
