Hi all

Small problem.

Snapped the accelerator cable in my VR Calais today. Just out of the blue. Got stiff, so I pushed harder and then limpo goes the pedal.

But anyway, is it hard to replace them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not hard at all.
Remove the cable at the throttle body end first.
On the accelerator pedal there is a plastic clip. This has to be pushed through the pedal back towards the seat. This will uncover the slot to slide the cable out.
Pull the cable through the firewall.
Reverse to install.

Cheers guys.

Ordered the part from repco today. Just like you said, $50.

I'll be putting it in tomorrow.

Thanks

Swoit, all done.

So much smoother now. Got rid of the free play in the accelerator pedal too.
