Bonnet Latch

Has anyone else ever had a problem with their bonnet latch?

mine has always worked fine until a couple of days ago when i tried to open it and it wouldnt pop open i had to get someone to pull the lever from inside the car while i pushed down on the bonet to get it open.

the latch appears to work properly while the bonet is open

has anyone got any tips on how to realign the bonet?

there are adjustment bolts where the brackets are that the bonnet sits on or you could just tighten the cable as they do strech over time dont ask me where to do this as i dont know but there is something somwhere

I found that its basically a adjust the centre bolt and try and keep going with that its a bit finicky until you get it right .It obviously got too much tension on it now so loose a bit and try unless someone w( a mate playing with it while the bonnet was up )has screwed the rubber stops out on the ends of the front corners on the bonnet on you without knowing what they were doing so check this out first.

there is another way, being an Auto elec and working on site alot have to impravise, it seems a bit crude, but at the same time as pulling bonnet latch inside car with your left hand give the bonnet a slight tap with your palm of your hand...... hasnt let me down yet
