changing automatically

the other day i was timing my o-100 by goin through the gears an just as i was about to change from 1st to 2nd it did it automatically. the gear stick was still in first but the engine was in 2nd
is this ment to happen? whats it mean?

yes. it is supposed to happen... automatically changes to second to avoid engine damage....

It'll go to third if you push it... gay but ya not much you can do unless you kit it
