shaking gear stick

When im applying the brakes going down a steep hill , my gearshifter ( auto) shakes like crazy. Would this have something to do with the balancing of my wheels maybe? i do need new tyres also.

Mines the same, I have guessed its one of 3 things:
1) One of my rims isnt balanced up right (is possible as I got mine off a mate, one slightly buckled)
2) One of my rotors is warped
3) Tail shaft is on the way out (feels similar to when the one in my VN went)
Hope that gives you a few things to look at.

Yeah I think it's the rotors, mine does it aswell and I"m certain it's because my front rotors are warped.

well my front discs are warped too, and my gear stick shakes as well, in fact my car is at the mech today and the discs are being machined (among other things)

i asked him about it when i dropped off the car this morning, he reckons it's most likely the cause, so i guess i'll know when i pick up the car

so anyway... picked up car from mech - coming home along a main road, nobody was around so i hit the brakes hard... there's a definite difference in the amout of gear lever shake. so my guess is it would be that your front discs are warped.

my ole VK did it, was a stuffed tailshaft tho
