re heater core fix
I did it on my Series 1 VR Executive with no problems. If I could make one suggestion, that would be to flush the heater core with clean water first after you disconnect both of the firewall hoses. That way, when you start cutting the pipes in the footwell you just get water which will evaporate cleanly if you don't catch it all. Saves you getting green coolant everywhere on the carpet.
Also, mark the threads on the heater arm pushrod with some whiteout before you unclip it. That way you can put it back to the correct spot when re-assembling everything.
