which coolant what is hn 2217?

which coolant ............what is hn 2217?

I have vs wagon and was going to change the coolant I have heard you have to use the right type so when I bought a couple of bottles of castrol on the back it says complies with Holden Hn 2217, so I thought that must be the stuff. I have since got home and it says in my Ellery's manual that I should use Holden Hn 2043!
Does anyone know what the difference is, why have they got 2 different specifications?
Have I got the wrong stuff? :unsure:

if you mix certain type of coolant with the holden one it turns the coolant to a jelly and kinda blocks the system so i would abide by the guidelines

But both are a Holden spec

Do you know if Ellery's are right. My ellery's is quite old.
could it be that hn 2217 is an improved version of spec 2043?

nah i cant help u on that one..... i look at repair orders for work....they just give you whats needed so i dont really paymuch attention to numbers
