Hey everyone,

I've been looking at getting the windows tinted on my VS commie and have seen the sorta stuff i'm after on a couple of cars around town. I don't know if there's a proper name for it but i'm wanting to get the tint that has that kind of gradient colour to it (so it looks silver at the bottom and gradually gets lighter as it goes up until it looks like normal tint. Have also seen it used with other colours like gold). There's two things i was wanting to know about it if anyone is able to help:

a) Is this sort of tint legal to have on a vehicle?
b) Does anyone know how much money your looking at for this tint when compared to your standard tint?

Thanks in advance everyone!

In SA you need to have 70% light transmittance for the front 2 windows (Driver and passenger)
and you can have 35% for any of the rear windows (anything behind the drivers head).
Regarding Reflectance Value - Must not have a reflectance value of more than 10%.
Double check with the installer.
