Ok car was running abit funny so did a fault code test and it came up with, Code 16 - Coolant temperature Sensor voltage unstable.
Now does this mean the temp sensor is rooted and needs to be replaced or something else?

its stuffed replace it its only $25 and you only have to unplug the connector and unbolt it

prolly the easiest job you can have to do

keep in mind there is a sensor for the ecu (wich you will need to replace)

and a sensor for the dash reading ... this one costs $10 but they arn't important like the other one (will just give you false readings on your guage

the two wire one is the ecu sensor and it will effect your fuel calculations and make your car not run right and use more fuel

Might explain the 400km max to a tank of fuel.
Ok so does any one have a part number or do I just ask for a coolant temp sensor for a VR?

Ok think I have found it, below the alternator and slightly to the right.
Looks just like a thread with a bolt halfway down it and two wires.
Will go inquire at Holden tomorrow.
