This may sound like a silly question but my son wants to know if its poss to put a manual gearbox out of a VT V8 on and into a VR V6 engine which has a auto in it. If so what are the implications etc ?
would be extremely hard as the VT has a hydralic clutch among other things & the components not including the box that you will need are as expensive as a full T5 conversion kit.
but then again the T56 from VT is stronger![]()
You would need a modified flywheel for a start as the crankshafts are different on the buick V6. I think you will find castlemaine rod shop will have what you need.
how much would this cost?
thanks for your replies i think it sounds a bit too hard and expensive but thanks again
I suggest you contact this member:

May be able to work out a trade or something...
Some people say less talk more action, i say more torque less traction.
