VS power rear window cable

Hi, me ol VS is falling apart!! well..the power window in the rear door has a badly frayed cable and as a result, the window seizes in different places. It looks no different to a brake cable on a pushbike. Can this cable alone be replaced, be it adhoc or a genuine part or do i have to get a whole assembly? ta

Its not supposed to be repairable but there's always more than one way to skin a cat. Try some of that pushbike cable - you'll need to somehow put a ferrule on one end but nothing is impossible. Good Luck.

G'day ta for the reply..more than 1 way to skin a cat..use a ferile somehow..clever..lol yea...see what I can do, was hoping someone here has actually been clever enough to do it and to share their ways...
