Transmission Probs

i got a vr executive v6 auto and me mates got a vr berlina v6 auto and i was in his car last nite, and his Drive, drops back gears alot quicker then mine,

do the berlinas have the same transmission etc as a executive? if so is my gearbox on the way out? coz it takes a while to shift from 2nd to 3rd as well.

his might have a shift kit put through it from the previous owner?? cou8ld also be the trans getting old but you have to expect some wear over time

hm yea i though so, ill just get a manual conversion when this gearbox dies..
