Why are stock VN /VP (manual) commodores a good second faster then the manual VR/VS commies??? THe VS is about 75kh heavier, but has 22kw more power, yet is still 0.9s slower. How so?? Do the VN/VP engines have a different power/torque output then the VS?? Please explain.

Plus it is really difficult to simulate the same 0 to 100kph times years apart. Times vary as much as 1.5 seconds depending what report you read. On the Falcon forums the legend is that the fastest E series Falcon was the 1988 5 speed model which just happens to have one of the worst reputations out.
