hey guys, well as the title says, i gotta replace the crank angle sensor on my vs v6 ecotec. i was just wondering how much stuffing around thid is and how to do it. chears

I ended up gettin my mechanic to do it, $77 labour. But doin it yourself loosen and take off belt, remember where everything goes. take off harmonic balancer, and then you should be able to get to it.

the harmonic balancer is not something you should attempt your self im my opinion, if you get get about 70 bux get a machenic to do it. Some one who has done it a few times before

yea thanx guys. im thinkin about sendin it to a mechanic to get done. i went out and bought a new crank angle sensor and that was $45. now all i gotta do is change it.

Dang! $45! I was quoted $89 from holden, then $83 from wreckers. I bought a second hand one from wreckers for $25, and the temp has got right up without car stalling, so far so good

yea the $45 was brand new aswell. from bursons auto parts at browns plains (brisbane) and repco quoted me $62.

my car stalls after abou t2 or 3 mins of driving. its that bad

I payed $94 at holden last week :mad: :mad:

Yeh that hurts, but the $45 one wouldnt be a genuine holden one
