sounds like tapets need replacing, alot cheaper if u can do the job yourself.

Sounds more like a worn engine with low oil pressure - hydraulic tappets must have decent oil pressure otherwise they cannot do their job. With the oil light coming on it means either badly worn internals or, if you are lucky, a blocked strainer on the oil pump which would mean removing the sump to clean the strainer - a time consuming job but cheaper than a new motor. New tappets will not solve the problem unfortunately as you have an oil pressure problem that must be solved otherwise the donk will simply seize up solid sooner than later when a bearing fails. Good Luck,
