VR EXECUTIVE S1
Hi guys, I have a problem with my VR exec auto, when the car comes to rest at traffic lights etc i get a engine light, unless i put into neutral or park, otherwise when i resume driving the light stays on until i maintain about 100km for a good few minutes. just wondering if anyone had any idea what is going on.

Only error i get is 45 which i understand to be oxygen sensor running rich. Is that enough to bring on an engine light?

93 vr v6 exec duel fuel
Well you guy's arn't alone, I have had the same problem for 5 years, my car is a duel fuel vr and the gas guy told me that the engine light comes on because the gas is an after market intalation and the ecu dosen't recognise it, however the car is and has run ok for the 5 years that I have had it so it dosen't bother me. But if someone can explaine a fix I would be greatfull.
Regards Kirk

I would start by fitting new O2 sensors.

changed the map sensor, changed the 02 sensor, no vacumm leaks

i notice the light only comes on when.

1. going down a hill using no acceleration.
2. Sitting at lights for a longish period.

i believe because gas is not injected its constantly flowing, the ecu shows the light because when going down the hill or at lights its putting gas in affecting the ecu. just a personal thought. i might be wrong tho.

if anyone knows any way of getting rid of it please post :)

cheers SlyVR
