    Default issues yet again :(

well alot of you may already know i have had a fair bit of probs with my car im refering to the fuel system again, i own a 1993 vr exec 3.8l auto.

any way a few months back i replaced my fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel filter and breather hoses etc, now ive had a slight misfire at idle, so i got some exhanged injectors from holden..

any i originally thought they gave me a dodgy set, because the car took a wile to crank (like when my fuel pumps pressure was not building up) so i took the car into holden and they fitted another set..

too no sucess, its still takes a wile to crank and for a few seconds it feels rough, but once started and goin its fine.

any sugestions on what it could be? (and yes the computers been reset and ive checked for error codes with codes comming up as clear)

    any help would be appreciated

pretty weird...how are the coil packs and leads?
also whats the condition of battery and alternator like, and their connections?
umm, what else...spark plugs, throttle body and cable ok, make sure all the leads are goin to their respective plugs...
i dunno whatelse, if it was a sensor prob it would show up in diagnostics

battery and alternator are new (3mths old)
the spark plugs are fine (even replaced - still doing,
throttle body seems to be fine (i just cleaned and replaced gaskets to make sure)
the cable is a bit slack i might tighten it tomoz
and coil pack (ive had one coil replaced) i hope i dont need a whole new coil pack

ok ive added one of them clear fuel filter in under the bonnet just to see what is happening when i try start the car, theres plenty of fuel (its it holds there) so i dont think its fuel related unless its a fuel damper or pressure regulator problem,

the starter motor is pretty good shape, as when it crank it sounds really quick but takes a wile to start (if that makes sense)

replaced the MAP sensor hose (as it was a bit old)
ive still gota get the coil pack tested

once its actually started and running for a bit its fine

can a IAC valve cause a car to do this?

    hey fitzy....

do u find it runs really rough after it starts )especially in the mornin), kinda putters slowly on idle like its not getting enough fuel?? but once u put ur foot down the idle picks up and its all ok??

ive got the exact same problem u describe and changed all of the parts u have... i was reading in another post about fuel injectors filters bein' blocked??

I can definetely rule out the pump, regulator, injectors, fuel filter, coil pack, DFI, Leads etc.... which leans me towards these pre-filters on the injectors....... :b:

yea i find that too, i havent tested coil pack or DFI.
ive had 2 sets of injectors put in and does the exact same thing so im sorta thinking something else

well in that case that we can rule out the injectors and the whole fuel delivery to the injectors..... it was suggested to me that it might be a computer related problem relaying the wrong info to the injectors but i havent been able to get a replacement to test....

Have you tried the coolant temp sensor? That will make it hard to start & can cause the miss as well.

holden spare parts didnt have any left at the shop, but dr bob seems to think its injector related, so i guess i gota get holden to test it (even though they should just give me working injectors in first place!)
