Hey guys
I'm deciding to buy either a VS SS, VR SS or a VN SS commodore.

I'd just like your opinions on all of the cars, price isnt much of a issue.

Which out of all 3 cars has best performance stock?

In stock form, would these cars get 0-100km quicker then lets say a, R33 GTS-T with 10psi?

Are they cheap to service and maintaine?

Thanks.

hey mate, no way any of the cars u mentioned (stock) would beat an r33gts-t.

r33gts-t are quick! they do roughly low to mid 6 seconds 0-100 (i.e 6.3ish +) and if you wind the boost to 10psi on one of these they are gonna go quicker!! (stock they run 7 or 8psi). and stock the r33gts-t does a mid to high 14 second 1/4 mile.

the VN,VP,VR,VS (all 304ci v8) do roughly do the same times in manual form they do low 7 seconds 0-100 and a low 15 second 1/4 mile.

so u have to do a bit of work to be as quick as as a r33gts-t

oh, and yes. those model commies are cheap to service. mainaining... you are looking at roughly 15L per 100km in the city. and around 10.5L per 100km on the highway. and they are all very tuff cars! no major problems with the 5L EFI v8 (except the radiators were **** in the vn's not sure about vr and vs)

if cost isn't an issue, i'd stroke any of the commodore ss's u mentioned, that will most probable beat a r33gts-t @ 10psi. i reckon even a good head/cam/zorst package would beat the r33.
