Pinion oil seal

When I go for a long cruze say 200 km's my oil seal starts to leak, causing a spray pattern around the seal underneath the car. Around town I have no leaks at all. Has anyone else had this problem ? Would it be the breather or is the seal on the way out ?

The breather could be blocked as suggested. I've seen them up here blocked with wasp nests. The actual seal itself is pretty straightforward to replace if you like working under the car.
