Vs acclaim playing up - would love some advice

My Vr used to do that. I was told that it was most probably the torque converter. Dont know if that was the actual cause as i never fixed it.

Try shifting the auto from drive to 3rd whilst the grinding is happening. Or try slightly applying the brakes at that speed with a touch more accelerator. It may be as simple as the muffler hitting the body or as bad as a transmission failing.
Also look under the car to make sure it isnt a mudflap fouling the wheel...try to zero in on its exact location. Check each tyre for tread separation. Good luck.
