hi does any one know if it possible to some how change the ignition on a VS exec so the key can be taken out while the car is running??? i have noticed that earlier model commodores can do this and i thought it would be cool to do it on a vs. thanks

your car will become defectable if you can take your key out while the engine is running so its not advisable... and who ever has got it on there ignitions should get it fixed.... its a spring loaded pin that holds the key in place

thanks boona15 for the advice, i prefer to be roadworthy than look cool so im not even going to attempt this mod anymore.

i have remote ignition on my vs...so it can run without the key.
having this is about the only way you'd be able to have it running without the key on a vs.

actually the cops aint that keen on remote starting....
i wouldnt be in a rush to do it infron of them anyway.
you can understand why...no one inside the car to control it and so forth.

yeh but its not like u can drive the car around with the remote or anything lol:driving:

i dont know how you would go about making one...
mine is part of my alarm...a viper pager remote alarm.i didnt install the alarm so im not sure on the details of how it actually works, i spose it would send a message to the ecu or something.
