mate of mine just bought a absolute bargin of a VS but thats not why i am starting this thread.

it seems the speedo requires the slightest tap sometimes for the needle to start moving.

anyone had this problem? any help would be great.

thanks in advance guys

Mate have a look at this how-to guide i made up. It is about how to repair a broken odometer but will show you how to get to the speedo. Once you've opened the instrument cluster up its simply a matter of loosening the needle and moving it a bit to loosen it up. If that doesnt fix it just pull it apart (its not as hard as you might think) and put a tiny tiny tiny bit of oil on the mechanism (with the fascia removed).

Hope this helps.
