V8 throttle body

i have seen a lot of people out there that have put v8 throttle bodies onto their 3800's. is it a straight forward bolt on? is there any modifications that i have to do to get it to fit?

You have to get it off the VN's so I've heard as the newier ones don't fit

i know someone that did it on a v6 and lost 2/10ths down the quarter because of it. not worth it unless you have internal mods behind it including port and polishing

well i think i might give it a miss then.
no point doin somethin if it's gonna make your ride slower.
i havnt read much about the mod but i assumed it would just let more air in and therefore give me a few more herbs. i'll read into it a bit more but cheers for the advice "VROCIOUS".

its larger it lets more air in more air = power.
60mm vs 65mm for the v8 tb
i put one on my vn and a holden cai and i noticed a difference, at the time all it had was a 2.5". cost me $100 for the tb and $45 for the cai which then spawned a full performace engine rebuild.....

See if I put it on I wouldn't bottle it up with standard intake pipes or CAI
I'd have a pod filter right on the TB
with a scoop right above it on the bonnet
