Hi guys, just a quick questions. A mate of mine gave me a pair of Halogen H4 12v 90/100W. Are these suitable for my vr? Or are the watts to high?

cheers.

You need to know what the stardards use. If you are putting in a bulb thats going to suck the power you will blow fuses and put pressure on relays (maybe). Could be illegal too if they are too bright.

I had bright bulbs in my VL years ago and my fuse melted, wires were a bit soft and the bulbs use to pop.

I was told by a auto electrician that using anything above standard will help to fade the reflectors faster because of the heat generated by the brighter lights.
