Stange high pitched sound

Is it my car or am I hearing things?! I heard this high pitch sound coming maybe from around the glove box , when I press the accelerator the sound gets higher in pitch, this can't be normal, I take it that the computer is in the left kick panel like the VL no? could the computer be going AWOL?

hmm, doubt it would be the pcm.
maybe a vacuum hose has come loose (as they are situated in that area).
could (long shot) even have been the intake pipe (maf pipe)...

could be your throttle body gasket even... they tend to make funny noises when leaking
