VR front door speaker replacement

Heya guys just throw in a new head unit thanks to the how-to's on this fourm but i cant get to the 6" speakers in the front doors of my VR exec to upgrade them. I have electric mirrors and the a/c vents in the doors, I was wondering if someone could help me out with getting at the speakers and replacing them anywho, thanks if you can help out :rice:

using a fine screwdriver, slide down the side of the lock tab, pulling forward.
undo screw behind lock tab and remove lock cover.
using screwdriver/whatever you find that works, remove clip from behind window winder (careful, they fly off like a bullet).
CAREFULLY pull vents out (I removed the side cover first then pushed out with fingers).
remove vent holder.
remove door handle (centre pops out, 2 screws behind).
remove 3 screws along bottom of map pocket.
door skin should now pop off with a bit of effort. be careful, as the clips can separate (no hassle, but they need to be re-joined prior to putting skin back on).
replace speaker. you'll need to cut/solder the wire as holden use plastic looms.
re-fit skin, being careful to sit clips in holes.
use screwdriver (anything) to slip top of skin under rubber window sill.
re-fit parts in order they were removed.
enjoy the new sound.

It's pretty easy to do. The first door will take a little longer til you get to know what you're doing, but the 2nd door will be off and back on in 10-15 mins.

There are a fair few guides already on these forums. Do a search and I'm sure you will find some really detailed ones.

just wondering...why in your instructions (theforgotten) do you take the air con vents off?
you dont need to do this just the get the door trim out.

maybe in yours, but on mine, the vents screw onto the door through the trim
