hey all,

can anyone tell me the difference between the 2 engines apart from the obvious fact that one is supercharged, like does the L67 have better pistons, rods, crankshaft to handle boost?

well for a start there is a compression ratio difference.
s/c ratio is 8.5:1
n/a ration is 9.4:1

Pretty much all the stuff you listed... it is much tougher, all designed around the extra boost.

Yeah as far as I know...

pistons are more heavy duty - with teflon coated skirts
rods are different
block has four bolt mains
balance shaft & flywheel are different
heads have injectors in them instead of the manifold

I think there's a post somewhere in BlueChip Tuning on it...

Do a search...

performance wise, they launch nicely if you dont just put your foor to the floor, a steady push, and the s/c kicks in and it goes like a rocket
