Prick of a job to do...
    first disconnect the battery
    then drain the trans fluid
remove the trans lines from the auto
undo the filler tube to the trans and plug the hole into trans with a rag
    remove catalitic conver / exhaust
    remove the starter motor
    remove the tailshaft
remove the shifter linkages / speed sensor and any wires
remove the torque convertor cover plate
undo the torque convertor bolts to drive plate (you'll need to rotate the motor to undo them all)
    undo the trans crossmember
while supporting the trans with a trolley jack
undo the bolts mounting the trans to the motor
take the trans and torque convertor out together
then you can undo the driveplate

It's a big job I wouldn't recommend a noob do it either as there is so much that could be stuffed up... it would be easier/ less stressful to pay a mechanic to do it !
