Hey all,

I just bought a new set of clear side indicators for my VS to replace the ugly square orange ones I have on atm. I had a bit of a fiddle around, trying to figure out how to pop the old ones out, and i couldnt figure it out.

Do they just pop out with force, or is there a knack to it?

Also once they're out, how do the new ones go in?

Thanks
Nath

you usually pull the indicatorsa towards the front of the car and it will pop out without force
and im pretty sure u just pop the wires out of the sockets on the indicator and plug in the new ones

Yep thats pretty much it... pull it towards the front of the car and lift the back end away from the body... pops straight out.

the light housing turns about 90 degrees and comes away from the lens.. change the globe and put the new lens on,,, reverse process to put it back on the car and all done!

ditto to whats been already said...but if your still having trouble or they're bein stubborn you can open the door to just the right angle where you can fit your fingers in between the door and the quater panel and push the lights out.
ive had a coupla experiences before when they wouldnt come straight out (build up of dirt, wax, road grim, etc. forms a crusty seal) and this is a sure fire way of taken em out.
also, you did get coloured globes to go with the clear lights didnt ya?
