Mine is stuffed. Too much abuse im guessing. Sounds like im running a super charger on my back seat!
Anyway, can you buy diff centres only from a wrecker (its a live axle)
If so how hard are they to put in? Do it yourself job or mechanic? I can't see how you can just drop the diff centre and put another one in, unless im wrong?

you can doit yourself but will it last?
9outta10 you have to put shims in it to position pin to crownwheel
other wise noise andor failure is very rapid
differnt story for banjo diff's

You could just buy a complete axle housing and bolt it in yourself...not a hard task with a decent set of tools... But when buying a housing make sure you see what the car was like that it came off... Check Km's...type of car (ie. bling bling dumped etc - avoid probably thrashed)...and the amount of damage it sustained (ie. type of collision it had).

Sounds like a plan. I have decent tools, so i guess i could do it.
Im not sure how many wreckers in Adelaide will have diffs on the cars still hough? Ill have to investigate.
