V6 1/4 Mile Times

HI EVERYBODY !! JUST WONDERING IF ANYBODY KNOWS ROUGHLY WHAT A STOCK VR V6 RUNS DOWN THE 1/4 MILE. I HAVE JUST GOT MINE BACK FROM A FULL ENGINE REBUILD (4.2 STROKER KIT, CNC'D HEADS,ETC),MORE STALL & SHIFT KIT FOR THE TRANNY.IT NOW HAS OVER 200 HP AT THE TYRES OR AROUND 150 RWKW.I MANAGED A 15.056 @ 144.40 KPH WITH A LOT OF WHEEL SPIN, STILL HAVE THE STANDARD DIFF/TYRES & NO COLD AIR INTAKE FITTED YET SO AN LSD & 3.7 DIFF GEARS ARE ON THE WAY. BETTER TYRES & CAI SHOULD SEE IT WELL INTO THE 14s THEN COMES THE SUPERCHARGER & MORE RUNS DOWN THE STRIP, IT WAS MY FIRST TIME AT THE MOTORPLEX SO STILL HAVE A BIT TO LEARN THERE ANYWAY I DIDNT HAVE A CHANCE TO RUN IT DOWN THE 1/4 STOCK SO I'M JUST AFTER A COMPARISON THEM !!

After It Was Stroked. But Like I Said With Lots Of Wheel Spin It Still Has The Standard Open Center Diff & Tyres ...

stock i think its like 15.8

im even suprised its 15.8 i would have thought that 16 would be a good run

sounds pretty right 15.1, stock vs's ran 16.8 1/4's.

Thanks Guys. An Interesting Side To The 15.05 Run Was That A Xr8 Was In The Other Lane... He Ran 14.82 But Run Slower Times Till The 1000ft Timer Where The Extra Displacement Of The V8 Won Out. He Went 153.41kph To My 144.40kph So A Lsd Is 1st On The Priority List.....

i dont know if this matters much to you......but, my VS ran a 16.1 at kwinana. all that ive done to it is a 2 1/2" system extractors chip and a pod filter.

THANKS cladiges !! MY OLD GIRL HAS DONE 180,000KM SO I DOUBT IT WOULD HAVE EVEN RUN 17 SECS STOCK... UP UNTIL LAST YEAR IT EVEN HAD THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST SYSTEM IT ROLLED OUT OF THE FACTORY WITH !! 11 YEARS IT LASTED BEFORE FALLING IN HALF. HA HA HA...

Sounds about the right sort of times for a Stroker setup. Stock is 15.8 - 16.4

my VS runs mid 15's pretty consitanly (15.5-15.7). its got extractors and performance exhaust.

thats the story mate. more power !!! with an lsd mine will easy run high 14's. so with 3.7 diff gears,lsd & some cold air for the motor it should go good. then comes the supercharger...either the vortech or powerdyne. they will both knock off about another 2 seconds.low to mid 12's for a v6 is not to shabby. every man needs a toy !!!!

my vs supercharged is stock and does 14.50 at 99.1 mph (thats on a g tech though, i dont trust them much)
