left driving light) and im not sure how to replace them. the main problem is

that i dont kno how to remove the lights. i also just bough a set of after

market black tail lights. how do i go about removing the old ones and

installing the new?? can i do it or do you need a mechanic?

If you peel back the cloth on the inside of the boot behind the light, you will see three small nuts & bolts (8mm). These are what holds the tail light assembly in place. Simply undo these nuts, and then push the bolts towards the back of the car, and the assembly will pop out. To change the globes over, simply twist the holder out, and the globe and base will come out.

Installation is the reverse of above.

Cheers

Yep just remember to unscrew the lugs on the boot carpet before pulling it away (one on each side)

It is worse on VT onwards models, its the same sort of deal, but the tailights actually clip in, and its one of those jobs when you have to push really hard to get them out, and then 'CRACK!!!' they come out. It is the worst sound... sounds as if you have broken them, but its just how they clip in and out!

hehe, I had to change the parker lights for the VT and they're a pain in the arse as well, I guess with the tail lights, if you break it then you replace it, I'm guessing it's easy to break.
