VR Wiring Manual Conversion

In process of fitting manual transmissions to VR Auto car.
1 - Can the wiring harness be modified to manual wiring harness configeration to suit manual computor with success.
2 - what happens if automatic harness and computor left as is.

in my vp the main wiring harness is the same (the computer and all)

the thing that is differant is the little bit of wiring that goes from the gear box to a plug that is just above the gear stick, the manuals wiring will just plug in to the autos plug

this allows the car to start as a manual
