    yeah but you gotta remember this is parts only. you still gotta re-bore, cleqarance grind etc, so it's still not cheap

    even if you were a mechanic and you bought that kit....it still doesnt include everything neccessary for the re-build...
    you'd still need a new cam, timing chain and gear, chip and gaskets....and thats only if you engine is in good nick and certain parts can be re-used.

    do i read the C.O.M.E. site correctly? $4500 for the assembled engine minus the heads etc?

    $1000 is a bit rich I reckon - theres a few people on here who have made they're own. I think someone said they're good for about 20kw if you get it right
