rear aftermarket lights

hey guys, i was recently tolled that the after market black/chrome taillights are illegal, does anyone know what the deal is wit them. are you allowed to have em cause they look sweat but i dont want a defect notice....

they're legal up here, and since so many of you southerners have themI presume they are in fact legal.

EDIT: you're in WA so they may well be illegal, but they are ADR compliant

I think there's a couple of manufacturers.. one is ADR the other is not... or something like that.

Might be some new ones floating around very soon..

there's so many different brands of them now its hard to keep track...but if the box says it complies with australias safety standards then they are legal ones.

ok chears guys. i mite just go ahead and get em. iv never heard o anyone being pulled over for having them so im asuming cops dont care or they are legal.

They're still ugly though.

If you do get pulled over it's probably because the cops think you're a hoon.

Modified cars tend to get that reputation.
