Lock-up clutch working intermittently

I had a thread on here previously about the lock-up clutch in my torque converter.

I've been watching it very carefully since then and have taken it to an automatic trans specialist.

The trans specialist said he hooked it up into the computer and took it for a drive, said that the lock-up was engaging with 4th gear. I also got a service at the same time. He said the box seemed like it was in excellent condition, no filings in the filter, but the fluid did seem a little dark.

But I've noticed that when the car is cold, the lock-up will engage normally.
i.e. engages above 55kmph in 3rd gear and around 75kmph in 4th gear.

However after driving for 10-15 minutes (depends on the how many traffic lights I have to stop at) or if I give the car enough throttle to kick back into third the lock-up clutch will not engage again until I turn the car off and leave it for a while.

The clutch won't just disengage while driving, it just fails to come back on after slowing down or stopping.

I was wondering if the TCC switch in the transmission was just getting stuck off, or if the transmission was overheating and not being able to engage the TCC due to thinner trans fluid. (I don't think that's the case, as I would expect the TCC to partially work, not just fail to engage at all.)

The box drives very well though. No slipping, even when cold. Always changes at the correct speed etc. I have noticed a slight vibration only in third at 50-60kmph when the TCC is off. It's fine when the TCC is on.

*Bump.*

Am wondering if it might be the TCC solenoid on the valve body?
