Ignition Regulator/modulator?

My car just stopped one day and i thought it was the fuel pump but it ended up being ignition modulator or something along those lines, and the thing aint cheap. Its gonna be 300 bucks for a reco one. but its an electrical part. What the hell is it?

DFI (Direct fuel injection) module? Sits under the coil packs? Is that what you mean?

that might be it what are they worth? My car just wouldnt start. it was weird.im used to carbys not the efi stuff

I got one from Autobahn a few weeks back $180.
Took about 5 minutes to fit

Damn ripoff mechanics and thank God for the honest ones.
My local mechanic tells me what I should repair myself to save me money.
