Hi Guys and Gals,

Does anyone know where to get heat resistant paint? I want to paint my engine cover red like my car?

Thanks in advance,

second for VHT. They make all types of paints, you would probably be looking for engine enamel. I think thats what its called, about $15 a can

Cheers people, I thought if it gets hot under the bonnet for the extra cost for heat resistant paint it's worth it

how should I prep the cover, just clean it?

i did the cover on my VS by just cleaning it but on our VT when i cleaned the cover it left silicone on it and it kept bubbling so i had to do heats of light coats and rub it down until i got rid of all the bubbles but you could aways just use prepsol but i think it may be expensive
so just give it a wash n see how it goes

but yeh most likely just wash it because apparently its very unusual to get silicone on it from the cleaning chemicals
