maybe the pick up on your pulley is bent a few thou and is hitting the sensor

are you using genuine parts? if not some of the cheap aftermarket parts are prone to early failure.
It could also be the wiring, in multiple failures i have had good results making sure all the terminals at the CAS, CPS & DFI have good terminal tension.

How or what is happening on your car for you to know its the CAS .

yay!!!!! Its just gone through another sensor, number 4. this time it lasted 2500 kays. nothing is hitting the sensor, its not loose, no oil interfering, i just dunno.

when i had a vr commo i was told there were two
different types of harmonic balancers s1 s2
maybe same for vs commo
slite difference in interuptor spacing
information supplied by wreckers
