Want to spray engine covers

i want to respray my vs v8 engine covers what do i have to do and what sort of paint do i have to use?

wash it dry it spray it.
spray it let it dry then repeat i just used normall spray paint and it hasnt bubbled or faded or anything. .

VHT engine paint is good

normal paint wont fade or crack or anything because the cover doesnt actually get that hot but if you plan on doing all the other covers aswell you will have to use high temp paint which slundy is right VHT is (IMO) the best to use

the whole reason behind using high temp for it if you doing all the covers is that the other covers do get incredibly hot and im pretty sure they will crack and fade and you dont want different types of paint incase they actually look different

I would like to apologize in advance for making myself sound like a dick...but
what does everyone mean when they refer to polishing the engine covers-mine is black plastic painted grey. Are the v8 ones different?

lol good question. i dirve a v6 but the painting would be the same basic principles

I keep hearing people talk about polishing the engine covers, what i meant to say was, are the 8's covers metal?
