cross the redline in first and the auto will click to second as a failsafe or something? but im not saying doing 80 is impossible in 1st, though i know in second 80 makes the engine scream a little. done it once [ brothers car before he got a new tranny ] didnt like it one bit, sat on 60 in a 70zone just to keep the noise down a little.

I think second goes to 140 or something in auto because I thought it would automatically shift up and I hit the rev limiter it went up automatically from first to second I didn't know you would feel it so much.

if the gear ratios are similar to the vs... i'm not altogether surprised.

2nd will go to 120 easy @ WOT before it shifts, can't say I've really pushed it in first.

yeah my vs changes at about 65 to 2nd and 135 to 3rd, Foot flat on the floor.

My mates 351 XY can pull 120 in first!! When he showed me i was so scared i would see a piston shoot out of the hood!

oh, and when this baby is finished it will do 300+ in 2nd gear, its a 2 speed power glide. Absolute Towing and Absolute rentals are building it. should be at the 2007 nats.
