Do any of you guys know of a special grease I can get for door hinges to eliminate door creaking? i've tried WD40 and the rest of the spray on lubes but no change! i reckon a grease on the hinge itself is in order?

Cheers

I had the same problem and used wd-40. It didnt get rid of the creaking straight away. Took a few weeks but she has been quite since I did it 3 or 4 years ago. Grease might have the problem of getting into the fine gap. I think you will have your success with a liquid lubricant.

could also be that your checkstrap is rooted... they are around $50 to replace.. remove the 2x10mm nuts in the door, then remove the pin retaining it to the frame of the vehicle..
make SURE you generously lube up the strap, to prevent it from creaking again
