Air con compressor still blows cold air but makes loud noise and pulley
sometimes slips. Could it be the pulley bearing?

Sounds like the clutch is slipping - first check that the wire to the unit is not broken and making intermittent contact. The clutch unit can be removed and the bearing and/or coil replaced. Remove the serpentine belt and see if the A/C pulley feels 'loose' - if it is then the bearing may be shot and preventing the clutch from making proper contact and letting it slip.
I wouldn't let it stay like this for too long because if the bearing fails completely it will probably throw the belt and you will have no waterpump/alternator/power steering drive. Good Luck.
