hey guys just wanted to know how big of a job is it to change the head gasket and if anyone has done it what to look out 4

not an easy job to do, best bet let a machenic do ti or some one who ahs done before hand

yea mine got replaced my a mechanic before the old owners sold it to me, $220.

For $220 it must have been a love job as the parts alone, including new coolant cost more than half that figure. Maybe they were mistaken as to exactly what the mechanic replaced. A normal quote for replacing a blown head gasket should include resurfacing the cylinder head, all new gaskets and coolant plus labour. Normally around $600 to $700.

i just replaced my head and obviously head gasket, but mines a VL, so a bit different.
