its not all that hard to fit the 6x9's...just make up some spacers out of mdf and cover them in some carpet the same or similar to that found on the parcel shelf.
a couple of minutes with a jigsaw is all you need to make them and you just screw the spacers into the parcel shelf.

everybody says spacers or risers are the go, though I tried something different, I cut the brackets under the parcel shelf and removed them screwed the speakers into the parcel shelf and bobs your uncle.

hmm i done a reall quick shoddy job have to fix it up someday make it look harvs01's shelf real neat.

done myne quick cause the misses was tired of not having a back seat and half the interior missing.

cut a holes in the parcel shelf and cut the brackets out of the body sat them flush and reinforced the spongy shelf with some hardening adhesive but only prob is you can see the gaps around the 6x9's from where the stock speaker grills used to be

Quicksilver 1 , if your gonna run subbies or 1 sub put a nice 6" speaker or run splits all round . the bass the 6x9's give off doesnt sound right with a sub (been there done that) and just doesnt have the clarity a good 6" (split or not) would have with a sub......
Just my 2 cents thats all
