is it possible to put a vs v8 gearbox into a v6? And would it be able to handle more power and torque than the standard V6 gearbox?

V8 box won't fit a 6pot mainly because the input shaft length is different

The V8 4l60E has a diiferent bellhousing to suit the V8 enging bolt pattern. where the v6 is narrower. the previous statment is right the input shaft is different. yet so is the convertor and case.
