Just bought a factory S/c from a vt it came with the manifold and pmc but no heads or fuel line could you drill out the stock heads to take the injectors or would it be easier to get a custom manifold, or just find some S/c heads and how much of my electrics will i have to change? (chip, looms, ecu):bang:

it would save alot of hassle if you found yourself some s/c heads, fuel rails and injectors to use...other than that you've got everything else you would need really.
the pcm may need re-tuning to suit the higher compression of the n/a ecotec and also re-mapping for the trans...not too sure.

She's a 5 speed so trans is fine, what about the pully on the S/c now any thing about down sizing for more psi dose it kill the S/c.

Ummm using a smaller pulley for more psi wont kill the blower (there are people running 19-20psi) but it will kill the hi comp L36 of yours.
The PCM will be your main problem as the L67 never came with a manual option. Speak to either Doc Bob or Blue Chip mate, they will help you out.

Do you know if there's any reasoning behind the L67 being auto only? I mean.. even the VTSS S/C option was auto only.. whereas the 5L had manual option.

im guessing it would be a power issue, as the 4L60E should be able to handle more power and has less variables than a manual

what power issue? They put the 5L in with a 5-speed... the L67 isn't that much more powerful (if any, arguably).

i always thought it was because the s/c v6 was only in calais and statemans to start with (which only come in auto).
anyway...lazin, you'd be really pushing it with a pulley upgrade...the n/a ecotec has a higher compression ratio than the L67, so it cant handle as much boost...without changing alot of internals for strength and lowering the compression you'd only be able to run it at about 6-7psi (safely)...over that and something is likely to give.

Dunno Matty... dunno if any of the other later model L67 got manuals either ?

Manual would be fun... VN Calais 5.0 is a guy on here who's got a nice manual L67 UC Torana that does 13's relatively stock.

nah no L67 ever got manual from the factory, because holden knew that with the torque of a L67 over a V8 (l67 is faster down the 1/4) then v8's wouldn't sell anywhere near as much.

I strongly suggest you get an auto behind that if your going for outright power, as there's a few guys with mental rebuilt manuals who basically disintegrated them.
too much boost on a stock l36 bottom end will see you with an engine rebuild, it's just a matter of when.
