bump......
I was thinking of putting a 12" sub in my boot, next to the fuel tank (i have a vs sedan) on the right side. Would it fit in without compromising on space too much? Is it ok to have the sub there, as its next to the fuel tank?
For the box, i've heard that mdf is the way to go. What thickness would be right for the box? Would i have to add sound deadening as well?
Any advice on this would be great.

bump......
Depending on how big it is I guess...and how concerned you are about available space in the boot. This is where my sub box is...
Sure not ideal, but I don't use my boot for anything anyways. It doesn't move or anything even if I chuck it around corners...tried a few combinations and this one seemed to work for me...
Crossed over to the dark side...
Do a quick search on google about sub enclosures. You can find everything u need to know about boxes i would think.
I play cricket in the summer and need my boot for my kit, as well as room for more kits if need be. I have changed "Alan Shore"s picture into where i really would like to have it. This way i still hav the majority of my boot to use. It may not be the best place for it, sound wise, but a sub is better than no sub.
So is this spot ok for a sub? With the fuel tank next to it, it seems risky, but i dont know.![]()

where you want to put it is where i have my sub atm, its a sony 12in in a sony box, its a little bit too big for that spot, but it fits in tight isnt screwed down or anything and doesnt move around. will get pics when i get the chance
thatd be good.....cheers WiLo
i put my amp and sub side by side just behind the seats, so i still have heaps of space.
