VR - VN rear axle splines, the same ?

I had fitted a good VN LSD rear end some time ago as the VS diff pinion bearing failed, it's time to now do the wheel bearings, as I kept the VS rear end with near new "6 week old bearings on good axels" I need to know if the axle splines are identical on each model.

Anyone know for sure ? it says nothing about the # of splines in either of the manuals.

As there were other small differences between the VN and VS such as brake line connections that are different size (VS have smaller fittings "both wagons") there could be other differences as well.

can't say for certain, but I believe they are they same right through VN-VS

the n/a 6 vl had 25 spline axels the turbo and the v8 had 28 spline axels and then all models after had 28 spline axels
